The saying “a picture is worth a thousand words” is a true statement. But to take a photograph that speaks “a thousand words” is the challenge. There is nothing like capturing an image of a three-year old with wildly inquisitive eyes. From the split second the picture is taken to eternity, the photograph will speak volumes about what the child was seeing, thinking, and feeling. We all will have our opinions, to which is the beauty, of what makes up “a thousand words”.
Photographs have amazed Jim from the first time he laid eyes on a Polaroid instant camera. He has always had an eye for art, having a natural creative ability to draw pictures before discovering photography. By having a “sit on the beach and watch the sunset” personality, capturing special moments and preserving images became an addictive hobby. For his wedding anniversary in June of 2000, his first 35mm film camera was purchased to take photos of life’s memories. In June of 2007, a digital slr camera was purchased and the desire to capture memories and expressions grew exponentially. After words of encouragement from family and friends, Jim Ferguson Photography was created in January of 2008.
Let's hope it gets good ones soon!
